HOTEL DESCRIPTION

Coconut lagoon is located upon the Vembanad lake, one of India’s largest inland lakes with its own distinctive ecology that supports a plethora of natural life. Coconut Lagoon is a heritage backwater destination on the lakeside, a 10-minute boat ride from Kavanatinkara boat landing. Facing Vembanad Lake, it features an outdoor pool. Its villas come with private pools. The property features old Kerala homes made in the centuries-old ‘tharavadu’ style. Bungalows and villas are fitted with a minibar and tea/coffee-making facilities. A telephone is provided. Ironing facilities and safety deposit boxes are also available. Guests can enjoy the catch of the day at Vembanad Grill, and enjoy open-air dining at Aymanam Restaurant. Ettukettu is a multi-cuisine restaurant and features rustic ambience of the ancient architectural style of Kerala. A games room, TV room, and children’s playground are available. Car rental and currency exchange services are offered in the resort.

Guests can opt for personalized treatments at the Ayurveda centre, and learn more about Kerala’s culture by witnessing breathtaking performances of local art forms such as the dance ‘Mohiniyattam’ and martial art ‘Kalaripayattu’.

Bird-watching on the Vembanad lake and visiting the butterfly garden are just some of the activities guests can indulge in. A canoe ride or a sunset cruise through the canals of the backwaters can also be arranged.

HERITAGE BUNGALOW

We have 27 Heritage Bungalows with a private sit out and a partly open-to-sky bathroom. All these rooms are twin bedded. One cottage has specially been designed for those physically challenged; and is a wheel chair friendly room with no steps, railings in the bathroom etc.

HERITAGE MANSION

We have 14 heritage mansions with an upper story (duplex room), a private sit out and a partly open-to-sky bathroom. 6 of these rooms are large bedded and 8 of them twin bedded.

  • We entertain the primary guest who are above 18 years of age and a photo ID proof along with an address is mandatory. 

  • Smoking rooms are under the hotel's sole discretion, if you’re seeking one, let us know, we have to place the request in advance.

  • Any hazardous goods or arms are provisionally not allowed inside the hotel. 

  • Cloak room is subject to availability and the usage should be within the stay duration as recommended. 

  • Guests will be solely responsible for any damages made to the property and the hotel is liable to charge the guest in order to recover the damages. 

  • Consider the property as your own home and keep it clean the same way. 

  • We believe in maintaining the decorum and any under aged guest will not be allowed unaccompanied. 

  • General check-in time is 2 PM and check-out at 10 AM, early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability. 

  • Hotels might not allow unmarried couples to check-in to the property and hotel or Desperate Traveller Pvt. Ltd. is not liable to refund in this case. 

  • A PAN Card is not acceptable as a valid ID proof and we’ll need something with an address. 

  • Any extra beds use or extra breakfast availed will be chargeable. Stay for infants can get complimentary but only on the discretion of the property. 

  • Hotels might provide an extra mattress for triple occupancy instead of an extra bed. 

  • Certain destinations might have different rules and regulations along with different amenities based on the weather and conditions of the state.

Once the partner confirm your booking, you’ll get a voucher as well as an email once you pay the amount to the partner and if the booking routed offline via Desperate Traveller, we confirm it offline for you and help you with the voucher and the invoice which can be validated and the assistance will be complete delivered from our end.
How can I make a hotel booking for a destination/hotel/package not listed on the site?
For that, we would request you to please follow the telephonic, email or the contact form protocol and we’ll note down our preferences to upgrade our inventories and will assure you a deal for your preference too.
What all documents do I need to carry during real-time travel?
At the time of your travel, your identification is must along with required permits while you travel within your native country. If you are crossing international borders by air, road or rail, we recommend you keep your passports, visas and necessary documentations and permits ready for customs and immigration clearance.
Is it safe enough to travel post COVID-19 Pandemic?
We prefer recommending packages and hotels which are safety certified by local tourism board. But we strongly recommend keeping your precautions on as always as we all need to be safe.
Can I change my hotel booking?
Yes, if you wan to change the name, passengers, or dates within the hotel itself, you can depend upon the hotelier’s sole discretion and if the change is request for the complete hotel, it needs to be cancelled and re-booked and only cancelled if the hotel refunds else the booking will stand non-refundable until hotel authorizes the refund. Clearance on the policies will be given to you before the booking, whether online or offline.
Will I have to pay any charges if I cancel my hotel or package booking?
If cancelled and the hotel/partner is refunding the amount, we’ll refund you accordingly post a fix deduction of 3% on every booking else the booking will stand non-refundable until hotel/partner authorizes the refund.
