The title may seem usual to you but for the girls who got out of their mould and travelled alone on their own it was fascinating. I’ll tell you how! It was a fine Friday morning and the girls were watching something on travel and one of them exclaimed why don’t we go out somewhere? And the eldest among them exclaimed AGRA?! And the affirmed! But getting permission from parents was the toughest task! The mom agreed anyhow but dad has to be convinced all day long! At last he nodded in YESSS! So with all the excitement and nervousness they planned and packed their bags and with butterflies dancing in the stomach made it near-impossible to sleep for them, they woke up as early as 4 a.m on Sunday and waited for the sun to rise as it was a chilly January morning! They went out and took the rickshaw with those chilly wintry breezes nearly freezing them and set out to explore! They took the bus to Agra and chatting about how spontaneously they were here! The bus finally halted at Agra and they reached the taj mahal and as soon as they entered it! What a breath-taking scenario it was! The glimmering white taj in front of their eyes, the same they dreamt of and had seen in pictures! The girls like all others, got engaged in capturing the moment with taj and entered the main monument with those pearl like beauty and all its Quranic Ayats carved on its grand walls. This was as beautiful as it could get. They visited the shrines of ShahJahan and his beloved in whose love this monument came into existence. When all the corners and angles were captured in their camera, they left the place for their next stoppage- the Agra fort. The Redstone monument which was once an army fort of the ruler and thus has great scientific and aesthetic structures built in it. The entrance or the Jahangir mahal, the jama masjid, the harams, the deewan-e-Khaas, deewan-e-Aam, bibi Ka rauza and the beautiful symmetrical gardens. The next place might be guessed? Yes the shopping spree! They went out to buy souvenirs and most famous Petha-a kind of sweet for their sweet parents! The girls went on but in January too they got tired as these monuments are spread on a vast area and thus they needed some rest and they took shelter in a park nearby and gave rest to their all-day-tired feet! And as they were lazing around they realized their one day excursion is coming to an end as it was getting late and they had to reach their home! They took the bus back home and all the way back wondering was the splendid day a dream? Or was it a reality?
